  Many inhabitants of Merica have developed, over time, a quasi-religious relation to Predation industrial-made items of all kinds, repairing them endlessly.

• They sometimes found especially challenging (to impossible) to reproduce or even understand some of them.
• Some technological tools and guns are of recent construction, though they are heavily inspired by salvaged ruined objects.
• Although most item names have been passed down from person to person (sometimes a bit distorted), a lot of information is lost to the average person, including the former country of their original maker.
